Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 5/15/13

Receipts:  1802    Last Week:  1975    Year Ago:  1808

   Compared to last week, steer calves steady to 4.00 lower, yearling steers
steady, heifers (all weights) unevenly steady to 2.00 lower.  Holsteins were
scarce.  Demand uneven, supply moderate.  A wide range of quality and condition
with several weaned-vac cattle in the offering.  Fleshy, fall steer calves
selling with a bigger discount than their sister mates.  The feeder supply
included 42 percent steers, 45 percent heifers, 13 percent bulls, with 46
percent over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  450-500 lbs 152.00-163.00; 500-600 lbs
147.00-161.00, fleshy 140.00-154.00; 625-700 lbs 139.00-149.00, calves 132.00
