Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 6/12/13

Receipts:  1485    Last Week:  1996    Year Ago:  1761

   Compared to last week, steer calves 2.00 to 5.00 lower, heifer calves under
550 lbs steady, over 550 lbs steady to 2.00 lower, yearlings steady.  Holsteins
steady compared to a light test last week.  Demand and supply moderate.  A good
offering of Holstein steers representing a near a quarter of the receipts.
Several 600 and 700 weight fleshy, un-weaned calves in the offering.  Hay 
harvest is running full throttle as no rain in the near forecast and the
temperature is near ninety degrees.  The feeder supply included 25 percent
steers, 24 percent Holsteins, 33 percent heifers, 18 percent bulls, with 55
percent over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  500-600 lbs 139.00-152.50; 600-700 lbs
calves 130.00-144.00; pkg 728 lbs calves 129.50; pkg 850 lbs calves 120.00.
