Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 2/3/2010

Receipts:  1730    Last Week:  1953    Year Ago:  2347

   Compared to last week, steers under 800 lbs 2.00 to 5.00 higher, over
800 lbs not well tested, Holsteins steady on a light test, heifers under
600 lbs 1.00 to 3.00 higher, over 600 lbs steady.  Demand good, supply
moderate.  After coming through what has been a tough winter so far, cattle
have flesh conditions that are favorable to buyers.  A Special Wean Vac sale
was held in conjunction with the regular feeder cattle sale.  The feeder supply
included 44 percent steers, 06 percent Holsteins, 43 percent heifers, 08 percent
bulls, with 37 percent over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  350-400 lbs 129.00-131.50; 475-500 lbs
111.00-122.50; 500-600 lbs 102.00-117.00; 600-675 lbs 100.50-109.00, 600-700
