Feeder Cattle Auction for 11/21/09

   Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers steady to
2.00 higher.  Slaughter cows steady.  Several large strings of both
calves and yearlings offered and a large crowd on hand for this
special preholiday sale including plenty of star power manning the
auction block.  Assisting Tom Frey, who is the current Reserve
Champion Auctioneer, was the reigning 2009 World Champion Auctioneer
Ty Thompson from Billings, Montana.  Demand moderate to good and
supply moderate.  Cows and bulls accounted for 2 percent of the run
and feeders 98 percent.  In the feeder supply, steers and bulls made
up approximately 66 percent of the run; heifers 34 percent; steers
and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 55 percent.

400-500 lbs 109.00-117.25, Fleshy 449 lbs 106.00, 500-600 lbs
101.00-108.75, Fleshy 576 lbs 89.00; 600-700 lbs 93.00-102.25,
Calves/Fleshy 85.25-94.00; 700-800 lbs 94.35-96.75, Calves/Fleshy
82.75-89.60; Calves/Fleshy 850-900 lbs 85.00-88.00.  Medium and Large 1-2
Pkg 550 lbs 106.25; Pkg 752 lbs 89.75, Fleshy 785 lbs 88.50.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1 Few 350-400 lbs 102.50-105.00;
400-500 lbs 93.25-98.75, Fleshy 85.00-88.00; 500-600 lbs 85.50-96.00;
600-650 lbs 85.25-87.00; Fleshy Load 707 lbs 83.00.  Medium and Large 1-2
