Feeder Cattle Auction for 02/02/10

   Compared to the last tested market from two weeks ago, feeder steers
and heifers steady to 2.00 higher, with instances 3.00-4.00 higher on
400-550 lb steer calves.  Slaughter cows steady.  Quality was attractive
with buyers active on all weights.  The best demand was on calves under
600 lbs.  Demand good and supply moderate.  Cows and bulls accounted for
8 percent of the run and feeders 92 percent.  In the feeder supply,
steers and bulls made up approximately 55 percent of the run; heifers
45 percent; steers and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 40 percent.

Scheduling Note:  The next feeder sale here at the Unionville Livestock
Market will be in two weeks, February 16, 2010.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1 Few 350-400 lbs 118.00-123.50;
400-500 lbs 115.50-127.75; 500-600 lbs 107.50-117.50; 600-700 lbs
99.75-109.75; 700-800 lbs 91.50-96.75; Few 850-900 lbs 88.75-90.50.
Medium and Large 1-2  550-600 lbs 105.00-112.00; Pkg 621 lbs 103.50;
Pkg 703 lbs 92.00.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1 Few 350-400 lbs 98.00-105.00;
400-500 lbs 98.75-109.75; 500-600 lbs 92.50-102.50; 600-700 lbs
89.25-93.50, Fleshy 618 lbs 84.50; 700-750 lbs 88.50-90.00.  Medium and
Large 1-2  500-600 lbs 94.00-99.00; 600-700 lbs 88.00-90.00.
