NW_GX795 Springfield, IL Mon, May 20, 2013 USDA-IL Dept of Ag Market News Fairview, IL Sale Barn Special Feeder Cattle Sale held May 16, 2013 Receipts: 1252 Trade was active with good demand, especially on the large groups of reputation cattle that had all their vaccinations. The weather was good today with large number of the farmers in the field, but there was still a good crowd on hand to buy this set of high quality feeder cattle. Most cattle in the sale had at least one round of shots and very few feeder bull calves. Feeder steers accounted for 70 percent of the run; heifers 29 percent; and feeder bulls 1 percent. Feeder cattle over 600 lbs 63 percent.
