Eastern Cornbelt Direct Sheep Weekly Report
(includes lambs sold in IL.,IN.,OH.,MI.)

Total sheep and lamb sales: 950   Last week: 950   Year ago: 599

Compared to last week, slaughter lambs traded steady to 2.00 higher. 
Slaughter ewes sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Slaughter goats traded steady. Trade 
and demand were moderate. Offerings were moderate. This week's supply was 
made up of 41% lambs and 59% slaughter ewes; with an additional 743 head of 
goats.

Wooled Slaughter Lambs: Choice and Prime 2-3: 90-110 lbs 95.00-100.00; 110-
130 lbs 92.00-95.00. Good and Choice 1-2: 60-90 lbs 112.00.

Feeder lambs: Medium and Large 1-2: not tested.

Slaughter Ewes: Utility and Good 1-3: 32.00-34.00.
Cull and Utility 1-2: 32.00.
                
Slaughter Goats (cwt.):
Kids: Selection 1: 40-60 lbs 125.00.
Selection 2: 40-60 lbs 120.00.
Yearlings: Not tested.
Bucks/Billies: Selection 2: 100-150 lbs 55.00.
Does/Nannies: Selection 2: 70-100 lbs 40.00.
Selection 3: 70-100 lbs 37.00.
