Eastern Cornbelt Direct Feeder Cattle Summary
Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio

Reported sales this week: 1311   Last week:  891    Last year:  129 

Feeder steers traded steady to firm in light test. Feeder heifers lightly 
tested. Not enough feeder Holstein steers sold on FOB basis this week for a 
price comparison. Trade activity limited due to holiday shortened week. Light 
demand and offerings. Confirmed sales this week were 31% steers 15% heifers; 54% 
Holstein steers; with 62% over 600 lbs.  

Feeder steers: Medium and Large 1: 500-550 lbs 112.50, pre-conditioned;
750-800 lbs 98.00-103.00; 800-850 lbs 96.50. Delivered price: 650-700 lbs 
105.50.

Feeder Holstein Steers: Large 3: 850-900 lbs 71.75; 900-950 lbs 72.00. Delivered 
price: 500-550 lbs 85.50; 650-700 lbs 79.00; 1000-1050 lbs 70.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: Delivered price: 700-750 lbs 94.00-95.00.

Prices are based FOB the farm unless otherwise indicated.
Delivered prices include freight, commissions, and other expenses.
