Eastern Cornbelt Direct Feeder Cattle Summary
Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio

Reported sales this week:  570   Last week: 1012    Last year: 1221 

Compared to last week, not enough feeder steers for an accurate price 
comparison. Feeder heifers not tested. Feeder Holstein steers traded mostly 
4.00 higher in thin test. Trade and demand very light. Good weather in the 
region has many producers in the fields for consecutive days this week. This 
has limited any thoughts of feeder cattle movement.
Confirmed sales this week were 14% steers; 86% Holstein steers; with 100% 
over 600 lbs.  

Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: 650-700 lbs 93.00. 

Feeder Holstein Steers: Large 3: 850-900 lbs 68.50; 900-950 lbs 68.50; 
950-1000 lbs 69.60.

Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1: Not tested.

Prices are based FOB the farm.
