Eastern Cornbelt Direct Feeder Cattle Summary
Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio

Reported sales this week: 1366   Last week:  902     Last year:  859

Compared to last week, feeder cattle sold mostly steady. Feeder cattle movement 
limited as field work continues in much of the area. Demand light to moderate. 
Offerings light to moderate. Confirmed sales this week were 8% steers and 37% 
heifers; 55% Holstein steers; with 42% over 600 lbs.  

Feeder steers: Medium and Large 1: Delivered price: 750-800 lbs 105.00. FOB 
price: 800-850 lbs 102.00. 
                     
Feeder Holstein steers: Large 3: 500-550 lbs 84.00; 650-700 lbs 74.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and Large 1: Delivered price: 750-800 lbs 101.50. Medium 
and Large 1-2: FOB price: 112.50. Delivered price: 600-650 lbs 103.50.

Prices are based FOB the farm unless otherwise indicated.
Delivered prices include freight, commissions, and other expenses.
