Kansas had a mixture of weather related factors this week with snow, ice and mud. Sales confirmed on 2850 steers, 1438 heifers and 2922 calves for a total of 7210 compared with 5687 last week and 5982 last year. Volume includes 60 percent 600 lbs and over 40 percent 600 lbs and under and 02 percent contracts. Feeder supply 80 percent steers and 20 percent heifers. Unless otherwise stated prices are FOB weighing points with 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent and 5-10 cent slide on calves and 3-6 cent slide on yearlings from base weights.
