Winter Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Dodge City, KS close for 7/8/09

Compared with two weeks ago: No comparison due to the light offerings during 
wheat harvest, but a higher undertone noted. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower 
and bulls steady.  Trade active and demand moderate.  Receipts 85 percent over 
600 lbs, 3 percent under 600 lbs and 12 percent slaughter cows and bulls with 
200 early.  Feeder supply consisted 63 percent steers and 37 percent heifers.  

   Feeder steers:  Medium and Large 1 12 head 675 lbs 105.00; 750-800 lbs 
100.50; 11 head 861 lbs 98.25; 900-950 lbs 93.50-98.00 (96.49); 50 head 954 lbs
