This weeks weather was cool and damp, with forecasts of 90 degree temperatures arriving over parts of the state this weekend. Sales confirmed on 3341 steers, 1647 heifers and 90 calves for a total of 5078 compared with 8793 last week and 8646 last year. Volume includes 98 percent 600 lbs and over; 02 percent 600 lbs and under and 05 percent contracts. Feeder supply 67 percent steers and 33 percent heifers. Unless otherwise stated prices are FOB weighting points with 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent and 5-10 cent slide on calves and 3-6 cent slide on yearling from base weights.
