Five States Livestock Auction Summary, Clayton NM-Wednesday 11/18/09

   Compared to a week ago: Feeder steers 2.00-5.00 lower, heifers under 600 lbs 2.00-6.00 
lower over 600 lbs steady. Slaughter cows 1.00-4.00 higher, bulls mostly steady. Trade and 
demand active. Bulk supply Medium and Large 1-2 300-600 lb feeder steers and heifers.  
Slaughter cows 48 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 3 percent, bred cows 9 percent, 
feeders 40 percent. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 68 percent of run; 
heifers 32 percent; steers and heifers over 600 lbs totaled 32 percent.
