Trade activity and demand light to moderate with moderate to good buyers inquiries for all classes. CME live and feeder cattle boards have made some higher gains this shortened trading week coupled with lower CBOT corn prices seem to add some increased interest on feeder cattle this week. Grass pastures continue to be reported as mostly adequate with average to plus gains. 65 percent over 600 lbs. 39 percent of this week's trade was steers; 61 percent heifers. Unless otherwise stated, delivery is current, prices are fob the weigh points with a straight weight to 3 percent shrink or equivalent with a 5-8 cent slide on calves and a 3-6 cent slide on yearlings.
