Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/05/10
 
Receipts:  884    Last Week:  1,212    Year Ago:  1,600

   Compared to last week:  Stocker steers under 600 lbs sold 3.00-5.00 lower; 
Feeder and stocker steers over 600 lbs sold mostly steady.  Feeder and stocker 
heifers lightly tested, however a steady to higher undertone was noted.  
Feeding cows lightly tested.  Slaughter cows and bulls lightly tested.  Demand 
moderate to good.  Feeder and stocker cattle made up 85 percent; 5 percent 
slaughter cows and bulls with the balance feeding cows and misc. cattle.  In 
the feeder cattle supply, 63 percent were steers and 37 percent heifers with 
45 percent over 600 lbs.  

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1:  396 lbs full 126.00; 435-500 lbs 
125.00-130.00; 500-600 lbs 114.25-125.50, fleshy 108.25; 605-700 lb calves 
96.00-108.75; 720-730 lb calves 94.00-97.75; 800-830 lbs 90.00-95.00.
     
   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1:  430-500 lbs 112.00-117.50; 500-600 
lbs 103.25-110.50; 600-660 lb calves 96.50-102.10.
     
   Feeding Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2:  Young 1085-1350 lbs 53.00-59.00, full 
50.00; Middle Aged 1150-1375 lbs 48.00-53.00, full 42.50.

   Feeding Bulls:  Medium and Large 1:  932 lbs 81.00; 1350-1465 lbs 59.50.
