Amarillo Livestock Auction Summary, Amarillo, TX - 02/07/2012 

Cattle and Calves: 429     Week Ago: 638     Year Ago: 512 

   Compared to last week:  No price trend analysis available due to limited 
comparable sales from the previous week.  Slaughter cows 1.00 to 5.00 higher, 
with limited test on slaughter bulls.  Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of the 
offering, slaughter bulls less than 1 percent, replacement cows less than 1 
percent and 88 percent feeders.  Feeder supply consisted of 30 percent feeder 
steers and bulls, 70 percent feeder heifers.  Approximately 52 percent of the 
run weighed over 600 lbs.

   Steers: Medium and Large 1-2  few 335 lbs Thin 225.50; few 742 lbs Fleshy 
139.00.
   Medium and Large 2  few 205 lbs 165.00; few 426 lbs 173.00; few 565 lbs 
156.00; few 696 lbs 144.50.
   Medium and Large 2-3  few 481 lbs 120.00; few 725 lbs 109.00.
