Amarillo Livestock Auction Summary, Amarillo, TX - 05/20/2013

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers and heifers sold 1.00-3.00 lower.  
Calves were lightly tested with a lower undertone noted.  Trade activity was 
light to moderate on moderate demand.  Offering included a load of seven weight 
steers.  Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher and slaughter bulls were not 
well tested.  Slaughter cows and bulls made up 5 percent, 1 percent replacements 
and 94 percent feeders.  Feeder supply consisted of 51 percent steers and 
bulls, 49 percent heifers.  Near 71 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.

   Steers:  Medium and Large 1 few 282 lbs 186.00; few 398 lbs 160.00; 500-550 
lbs 150.00-159.50; few 612 lbs 149.00; few 685 lbs 134.50; 700-750 lbs 130.50-
132.50; lot 878 lbs 122.00, few 897 lbs full 115.75; few 919 lbs 118.25, few 904 
lbs full 107.50.
   Medium and Large 1-2 few 785 lbs 126.50; lot 870 lbs 116.50.
   Medium and Large 2-3 few 676 lbs 114.00.
             
   Feeder Bulls:  Medium and Large 1 few 525 lbs 147.00; few 688 lbs 117.00.
