Weekly Utah Hay Market Report

Utah  Hay  prices  continue weak, with very limited trade. Trading  was very slow on  Dairy  
quality  hay. Lower quality hay demand is very  light, on  moderate  supplies.  Weather  has 
effected much of  Northern Utahs 1st crop. Confirmed sales 2,000 tons. Cube  prices  steady  
on  top  quality export cubes. Trade slow with demand  soft  on  top  quality  export  cubes. 
Confirmed  sales  150  tons.  Guidelines  for  Alfalfa  Hay:  Visual  exam  and intent  of  sale;  
Relative   Feed   Value   (RFV);   Acid  Detergent   Fiber  (ADF);  Crude  Protein  (CP).  USDA  
Grades are based  on  100%  Dry  Matter  Content.  All  prices  are  in  dollars  per  ton,  FOB  
at  stack,  unless  otherwise  noted.  Bales  large and small.  Cubes  all sales FOB slab, unless
