TURKEY: Daily National Turkey Market-At-A-Glance

DOMESTIC MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

The market tone on whole turkeys was steady to fully steady.  Demand and trading light.  
Offerings light and with confidence.  The market tone on 4-8 lb. breasts was mostly steady 
on Grade As, cautiously steady to steady on plant grades, 12 lb. and heavier institutional 
sized breasts steady to barely steady.  Demand light to instances moderate.  Offerings 
mixed.  The market on white meat ranged from firm on scapula to steady at best on tom 
breast meat.  Demand moderate to good on scapula, balance slow to moderate.  Offerings 
short on scapula, breast trim light, balance of white meat adequate to ample.  The market 
tone on thigh meat was steady to fully steady.  Demand light to moderate.  Offerings light 
and spotty.


EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

Trading active.  The market tone on tom drums was mixed, mostly steady to barely 
steady; tom wings steady to barely steady with increased confidence noted on 
full-cuts, tom necks steady to barely steady.  Demand on tom wings and drums 
moderate to good, best on wings.  Demand light to moderate on the balance of 
items.  Offerings light to fully adequate, mostly light to adequate.
