BROILER/FRYER:  Daily Midwest Region Broiler/Fryers

The market tone on whole broiler/fryers remained steady. Whole bird 
offerings were increasingly available for a light to fair trade 
interest. Fill-in trading noted at 68 cents on 2 3/4 Wogs. Retail and 
food service demand was generally light, although Chicago noted better 
movement. Institutional trade, white table cloth restaurants, catering 
and some national fast food chains noted occasionally moderate to 
fairly good activity. Floor stocks were adequate to long; weights 
desirable to trending heavy. Dark meat cut supplies were in close 
balance to tight, tenders the same, boneless/skinless breast was 
available and wings varied. Trade sentiment was steady to fully steady 
on leg items and tenders; all other parts were steady.
