Receipts: cattle 800 Demand: good. Comment: Sunny spring weather, open pastures and current high slaughter prices attracted numerous buyers to the auction. Buyer demand was good throughout the sale. Value enhanced cattle were pre-conditioned with shots and had been cut and weaned. Holsteins unless otherwise stated. Prices per head, unless otherwise stated. Receipts: This week 250 head, Last month 300, Year ago 200 Demand: Moderate to good with moderate buyer attendance. Good weather was a welcome sign for late fieldwork, but reduced attendance. There was a light supply of higher quality cattle and a heavy supply of Common and Medium quality cattle. Prices were steady to weak on Fresh milking cows and mostly steady on bred cattle and open heifers compared to last month. Compared to last year, prices were steady to 100.00 higher for top quality cows, bred heifers and open heifers. There was a light supply of supreme quality cattle. The sale had numerous high CMT count cows and poor uddered cows selling from $750.00-1000.00.
