MD_DA710 Dry Whole Milk - U.S. Report 41 - Released on October 12, 2023 NOTICE: After October 16, 2023, all information found on this report will transition to a new PDF format. The same data will be collected and disseminated through AMS Marketing Analysis and Reporting Services (MARS) platform. The new pdf report can be accessed on the AMS website at: https://www.ams.usda.gov/mnreports/ams_1050.pdf The price range for dry whole milk (DWM) was unchanged at the bottom of the range, while the top moved higher. Demand for DWM is steady from spot and contract customers. Contacts report purchasers are ordering loads in preparation for the end of year holidays. Spot loads of DWM are tight and spot purchasers say inventories are becoming more difficult to find. Drying schedules are focused on the production of nonfat dry milk and skim milk powder, leaving limited time available for DWM. Plant managers say light DWM production schedules are primarily focused on contractual obligations, which is contributing to few loads becoming available on the spot market. Prices for: U.S., All First Sales, F.O.B., Conventional, and Edible Dry Whole Milk Price Range - 26% Butterfat; $/LB: 1.8500 - 2.1000 Information for the period October 9 - 13, 2023, issued weekly Published by: Dairy Market News - Madison, WI ROMAN CARAMAN, 608-422-8593 Email: roman.caraman@usda.gov Additional Dairy Market News Information: Dairy Market News (DMN) by Phone: (608)422-8602 DMN Website: https://www.ams.usda.gov/market-news/dairy DMN MARS (My Market News): https://mymarketnews.ams.usda.gov
