DRY BUTTERMILK - WEST                                       
 
Prices for dry buttermilk in the West are lower and the market 
undertone is weaker.  Buying interest is light to fair with 
purchases being mainly made to fill in immediate needs.  There are 
unconfirmed reports of lower priced offerings being shown.  The 
weakening WPC market has definitely dampened buyer interest 
looking strictly at protein values.  Drying has been mostly steady 
with recent week's levels and reflects churning activity in the 
region.  Stocks are light to moderate and available.
