SKIM MILK POWDER (SMP):  Skim milk powder markets and prices are weak in the 
Oceania region.  Traders and handlers indicate that a weak trend in other 
international markets is contributing to weaker trends in Oceania.  As prices 
for other manufactured dairy products trend lower, some Oceania manufacturers 
are reported to be considering increased SMP production.  At this point, as 
prices decline, buyer interest has slowed greatly.  Typically at this time of 
the year, a significant portion of upcoming milk production for the first half 
of the season has been committed, but this year, these volumes are considerably 
lower.
