Receipts this Week: 10,790 Last Week: 10,136 Yr Ago: 7482 Monday Actual: 10,166 Compared to last week: Feeder cattle 1.00-2.00 higher with very good demand. Steer and heifer calves not well tested, limited sales 5.00-7.00 higher. Most buyers aggressive for numbers while others are on the sideline. A few cattle are still coming off graze out wheat, however, much fewer than normal. Moderate numbers of feeders are now going to northern feedlots as available supplies get tighter there. Several cattle continue to come from out of state but in thin flesh or gaunt conditions. Receipts continue to include large numbers of steers over 800 lbs. Supply included 86 percent over 600 lbs and 38 percent heifers. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows and bulls 1.00-1.50 higher. Packer demand continues good as numbers of spring cows continues light. Demand good for light numbers of replacement cows. Total of 295 cows and bulls sold with 49 percent going to packers.
