Pacific Northwest Market Summary: Feed ingredient offers ended the reporting week on Tuesday, July 15, mixed compared to last Tuesday's offers. Corn offers moved lower. Soybean meal and canola meal offers were mixed. Offers for distillers dried grains were steady to lower while whole cottonseed offers were steady to higher. Barley, alfalfa meal, meat and bone meal, wheat millrun, and oats offers remained steady with last week's levels. Oilseed Meal Markets: Offers for 47 percent protein Soybean Meal, for current rail delivery, were 1.00 to 2.00 per ton lower at 451.80 to 471.80. Basis offers ranged from 30.00 to 50.00 per ton over the Chicago August soybean meal futures close of 421.80 compared to last Tuesday's basis range of 30.00 to 35.00 per ton over the Chicago July soybean meal futures close of 425.10 and 35.00 to 56.00 per ton over the Chicago August soybean meal futures close of 417.80. Offers for soybean meal truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were not well tested. Offers for nearby delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, rail delivered to points between Portland, Oregon and Chehalis, Washington, were 311.80 to 336.80, 11.00 lower to 4.00 per ton higher than last Tuesday's offers. Offers for canola meal trans-loaded onto trucks and delivered to the Willamette Valley were 6.00 lower to 4.00 per ton higher at 331.80 to 356.80. Canola Meal offers for truck delivery to points east of the Cascades were 331.80 to 366.80, 3.00 lower to 4.00 per ton higher compared to last Tuesday's offers. Whole Cottonseed: Whole Cottonseed offers for delivery to points in the Pacific Northwest from the Midsouth in single boxcars were steady to 20.00 per ton higher at 460.00 to 475.00. Offers for whole cottonseed trans-loaded onto trucks and delivered to Willamette Valley dairies were also steady to 20.00 per ton higher at 490.00 to 492.00. Animal Proteins: Offers for 46 to 50 percent protein Meat and Bone Meal, FOB Seattle plants, were steady at 370.00. Offers for meat and bone meal truck delivered to Portland and the Willamette Valley were steady with week ago offers at 385.00, with no trades during the week at that level. Wheat Millrun: Feed mill offers for wheat millrun for nearby delivery, loaded truck FOB the flour mill in Portland, were indicated as steady at 190.00 to 210.00. Offers for wheat millrun truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were steady at 207.00 to 225.00. Flour mill offers for wheat millrun rail delivered on the Burlington Northern Line to Portland from eastern Washington and eastern Oregon during July through September were not quoted in slow trading. Offers for wheat millrun FOB eastern Oregon and eastern Washington mills were for June through December delivery were not available. Alfalfa Products: Offers for Suncured alfalfa pellets, 15 percent protein, delivered by truck to the Willamette Valley, were 300.00 to 320.00, steady with week ago offers. Distillers Dried Grains: Offers for Distillers Dried Grains delivered by rail to feed mills in the Pacific Northwest were steady to 8.00 per ton lower, ranging from 212.00 to 228.00. Offers for distillers dried grains trans-loaded onto trucks and delivered to Willamette Valley dairies were 5.00 to 8.00 per ton lower at 227.00 to 245.00. Coarse Feeding Grains: Offers for US 2 Barley for nearby delivery to Portland in single rail cars for domestic use were not well tested but were indicated as steady with last Tuesday's range of 235.00 to 280.00 in a very limited test. Offers for US 2 Barley rail and truck delivered to the Willamette Valley were also not well tested but were indicated as 250.00 to 290.00 per ton, steady with last Tuesday's limited test. Some barley traders were not issuing offers for nearby delivery. US 2 Yellow Corn offers for rail delivery to points north of Seattle were 20.25 to 21.25 per ton lower at 268.25 to 275.75. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn rail delivered to points in the Seattle area were 20.00 to 21.00 per ton lower at 264.75 to 273.75. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn rail delivered to Portland were 263.75 to 271.50 per ton, 20.00 to 21.25 per ton lower than week ago offers. Offers for US 2 Yellow Corn truck delivered to the Willamette Valley trended 20.25 to 24.25 per ton lower at 276.25 to 299.25 per ton.
