Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 08/29/08

  Compared to last week, light supply of feeders not well tested,
undertone steady to lower.  Demand moderate.  Supply light, mostly odd’s
and small packages of 350-750 lbs feeders, near 35 percent steers and 
bulls, 25 percent heifers, 35 percent cows, 5 percent slaughter steers
and heifers and 10 percent feeders over 600 lbs.  Slaughter cows 2.00-
3.00 lower.

  Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1 two pkgs 410-450 lbs 127.00-131.00;
two pkgs 475-500 lbs 118.50-123.50; pkg 590 lbs 121.50, two pkgs fleshy
calves 500-600 lbs 110.00-111.00; pkg 635 lbs 117.50; pkg 720 lbs 112.50.
Medium and Large 1-2 two pkgs thin 720-760 lbs 111.50-113.00.

  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 few odd’s and small pkgs 350-425 lbs
116.50-127.00; pkg 425 lbs 114.00; few pkgs fleshy 475-500 lbs 100.50-
105.50; two pkgs 600-650 lbs 107.25-108.50.  Medium and Large 1-2 two 
pkgs thin 695-765 lbs 108.00-109.50.

  Feeder Bulls:  Medium and Large 1-2 few odd’s and small pkgs 400-450
