Feeder cattle and cow auction for 6/30/08

   Compared to last week, 600 lbs steers and heifers sold 2.00 higher, 
the rest of the offering sold steady to 3.00 lower.   Slaughter cows sold 
steady and bulls sold 1.00 higher; Demand uneven and supply light.  Cows 
made up approximately 14 percent of the run, 86 percent feeders.   Steers 
made up approximately 38 percent of the offering, 50 percent heifers.  
Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 16 percent.
		
   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1-2   300-400 lbs 108.00-119.00; 
400-500 lbs 101.00-113.50; 500-600 lbs 98.00-109.00; few 600-650 lbs 
100.00-109.00; few 775-800 lbs 94.50-99.50; pkg 828 lbs 101.00.   Medium 
2   350-400 lbs 92.50-103.00; 400-500 lbs 94.00-101.00; pkg 680 lbs 
95.50.

   Feeder Holsteins:  Large 3   pkg 363 lbs 65.00; pkg 419 lbs 65.50; pkg

   Feeder Heifers:   Medium and Large 1-2   300-400 lbs 95.50-105.00;

lbs, with 80-140 lbs calves, 840.00-1100.00 per pair.
