Feeder Cattle Auction Close for 6/30/2008

Receipts:  4000    Last Week:  5973    Year Ago:  no sale

   Compared to last week, steers steady to 2.00 higher, heifers 1.00 to
3.00 higher.  Demand moderate to good, supply moderate.  Feeder cattle 
market active as corn futures are trading lower and Fed Cattle traded
3.00 to 5.00 higher at 98.00 to 99.50 live and 154.00 to 155.00 dressed.
Pastures conditions are very good for the First of July.  But heavy rain
continues to cause flooding in some areas.  The feeder supply included 50
percent steers, 39 percent heifers, 11 percent bulls, with 60 percent
over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  500-600 lbs 115.00-123.00; 600-700
lbs 106.00-117.00; 775-800 lbs 110.25-112.25; 800-900 lbs 109.25-111.75;
925-950 lbs 104.25-107.75.  Medium and Large 1-2  250-300 lbs 127.00-
137.00; 400-500 lbs 110.00-117.00; 500-600 lbs 109.00-119.00; 600-700 lbs
104.00-116.00, lot 652 lbs thin 116.25; 700-800 lbs 103.00-111.25; 800-
900 lbs 103.50-111.50; 900-1000 lbs 99.00-104.60.

   Feeder Holstein Steers:  Large 3 pkg 556 lbs 72.00; 750-775 lbs 66.50
