Slaughter cows 2.00-4.00 higher. Very few cattle moving as farmers are back in the fields trying to get something done before the next rain event which is predicted for later this week. The Mississippi River is falling which is finally relieving some of the stress on the area levies as well as the people that worked so hard to see that they were maintained. Demand was moderate to good and the supply light. Cows and bulls accounted for 38 percent of the run and feeders 62 percent. In the feeder supply, steers and bulls made up approximately 50 percent of the run; heifers 50 percent; steers and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 40 percent.
