Cattle Auction Report Open, Mid-Session, and Close for 07/08/2008 Receipts: 912 Two Weeks Ago: 2023 Last Year: 929 Compared to two weeks ago, yearling feeder steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher. Other classes of feeder and stocker cattle were not well tested. The seasonally light offering included nine loads of top quality 700-900 lb yearling steers, but little else. Slaughter cows and bulls traded 3.00-5.00 higher. Supply included 10 percent slaughter cattle with the balance feeders. The feeder cattle offering was made up of 90 percent steers and only 10 percent heifers with 88 percent weighing over 600 lbs.
