Choice 2-3 slaughter steers sold from 90.00-95.00 with a few high dressing up to 96.00. Choice 2-3 slaughter heifers sold from 89.50-94.50 with a few high dressing up to 96.00. Slaughter Holsteins sold 0.50 to 2.00 higher from 81.00-87.75 with a few high dressing up to 92.75. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to 2.00 higher. The USDA Beef Carcass Equivalent Index Value was at 143.47 for a Choice 600-900 pound carcass, 1.71 higher than last week. The Boxed Beef Cutout value for a Choice 600-900 pound carcass was 1.65 lower than last week at 156.83.
