Eastern Cornbelt Direct Sheep Weekly Report

Total sheep and lamb sales: 876   Last week:  957   Year ago: 455 

Compared to last week, slaughter lambs steady to firm. Feeder lambs lightly 
tested. Slaughter ewes sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher. Slaughter goats sold steady. 
Trade and demand moderate to good, with moderate offerings. This week's supply 
was made up of 66% lambs and 34% slaughter ewes; with an additional 1,508 
head of goats.

Wooled Slaughter Lambs: Choice and Prime 2-3: 90-110 lbs 89.00-90.00; 110-130 
lbs 88.00-92.50. Good and Choice 1-2: 60-90 lbs 108.00.

Feeder lambs: Medium and Large 1-2:  60-90 lbs 80.00-85.00.

Slaughter Ewes: Utility and Good 1-3: 23.00-28.50.
Cull and Utility 1-2: 20.00-23.00.
