Eastern Cornbelt Direct Feeder Cattle Summary
Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio

Reported sales this week: 129       Last week:  299    Last year:   657

Compared to last week, not enough feeder cattle for a price comparison. Trade 
activity was very slow with light demand and limited offerings this holiday 
shortened week. Higher corn prices and field work continue to limit cattle 
movement. Confirmed sales this week were 100% Holstein steers; with 87% 
over 600 lbs.  

Feeder steers: Medium and Large 1: not tested.
                     
Feeder Holstein steers: Large 3: pkg 660 lbs 70.00; 850-900 lbs 68.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: not tested.
 
Prices are based FOB the farm unless otherwise indicated.
Delivered prices include freight, commissions, and other expenses.
