GX_GR120 Springfield, IL Wed Jul 30, 2008 USDA-IL Dept Ag Market News Eastern Cornbelt Organic Grain & Feedstuffs Report (Bi-Weekly) Weighted Average Report for Week Ending 7/26/2008 Compared to two weeks ago, organic grain and feedstuff prices were steady to firm. Trading activity and offerings were moderate. Feed grade corn and soybeans prices were steady to higher. Wheat trends were not established. While heavy rainfall and flooding drove feed prices higher earlier in the growing season. Good growing weather and improvements in crop conditions have relieved some producers worries about this year's crop. Wheat harvest is near completion with end users waiting on test results to determine quality and moisture levels. This week purchases of food grade soft red wheat ranged from 14.00 to 15.00 per bushel. Monthly and 2nd quarter averages of organic prices located below.
