The weather has been cool most of the week with scattered thunder storms moving through the state. Amounts of moisture vary from traces to several inches. The moisture is very welcomed. Sales confirmed on 3300 steers, 6690 heifers and no calves for a total of 9990 head, compared with 4612 last week and 5421 a year ago. Volume includes 100 percent over 600 lbs and no contracts. Feeder supply consisted of 33 percent steers and 67 percent heifers. Unless otherwise stated, prices are FOB weighing point with 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent and 5-10 cent slide on calves and 3-6 cent slide on yearlings from base weights.
