Cattle Receipts:  638    Last Week:  322    Last Year:  649 

   Compared to last week, slaughter cows sold near steady.  Slaughter bulls 
not comparable.  A heavier supply of feeder steers and heifers this week was 
not fully comparable to the lighter supply last week.  Feeder prices were 
mixed, although the trade was active, and the bulk of the comparable weights 
were steady to firm.  The supply included 13 percent slaughter cows and 4 
percent pairs/replacements.  The feeder supply included 75 percent steers and 
25 percent heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the feeder supply weighing 
over 600 lbs.

200-250 lbs 91.00-99.00; 250-300 lbs 85.00-91.00; 400-500 lbs 83.00-90.00.

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  4-6 year old cows, 1000-1200 lb 
cows with 125-200 lb calves, 760.00-820.00 per pair.

   Replacements:  Medium and Large 1-2  2-5 year old cows, 700-870 lbs, 2-5 
months bred, 525.00-725.00 per head, few thin 400.00-490.00 per head.
