Amarillo Livestock Auction Summary - Amarillo, TX - Tuesday - 05/20/08

Cattle and Calves: 1,031      Week Ago: 681        Year Ago: 939

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 800 lbs steady, over 800 lbs 
steady to 1.00 higher; heifers steady to 2.00 higher, except 600-700 lbs 2.00-
3.00 higher.  Slaughter cows steady.  Slaughter bulls steady to weak on limited 
test.  Bulk of the supply Medium and Large 1-2 400-900 lbs feeder steers and 
heifers.  Trade and demand moderate to good.  Slaughter cows made up 05 percent 
of the offering, slaughter bulls 02 percent, replacement cows 06 percent and 
feeders 82 percent.  The feeder supply included 67 percent steers and 33 percent 
heifers.  Near 77 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs. 

   Steers: Medium and Large 1: pkg 338 lbs 138.00; 400-500 lbs 116.50-120.00; 
560-600 lbs 113.00-117.50; pkg 653 lbs 107.00; 800-900 lbs 103.25-106.00; load 
979 lbs 97.50.    
   Medium and Large 1-2: 300-400 lbs 121.00-130.00; pkg 540 lbs 105.00; lot 809 
lbs 105.25.       
   Medium and Large 2-3: pkg 328 lbs 108.00; pkg 533 lbs 95.00.
