AMS Commodity Procurement's Pilot Project for the Procurement of Unprocessed Fruits & Vegetables

The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) invites you to a live, interactive webinar on our "Pilot Project for the Procurement of Unprocessed Fruits & Vegetables". The goal of the Pilot Project is to develop additional opportunities for schools to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables with entitlement funding, while using pre-existing commercial distribution channels and school relationships with growers, produce wholesalers, and distributors. The pilot supports the use of locally-grown foods in school meal programs using entitlement funds in eight participating states: (CA, OR, WA, WI, MI, VA, NY, CT). Areas covered in the webinar include:

  • How to Become an “Eligible Vendor.”
  • How the Pilot Program Works - Who Pays Whom?
  • Tips to Avoid Common Errors That May Delay Your Submission.
  • Changes to Forms and Requirements.

Casey Wong-Buehler, Contracting Officer, AMS Commodity Procurement Program, and Albert Hoover, Chief of Staff, AMS Specialty Crops Inspection Division will be your speakers. Help AMS educate and inform you by registering today at http: bit.ly/FVWebinarCP081315
