USDA Updates Schedule of Fees Under the United States Warehouse Act

Date
August 01, 2019

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has updated the schedule of fees charged for licensing and examination services under the Unites States Warehouse Act (USWA). A final rule amending the fee schedule was published in the Federal Register on August 1, 2019, and becomes effective on October 1, 2019. The new fee schedule represents an approximate 10 percent increase.

AMS is dedicated to providing the highest quality services on a cost recovery basis. AMS has conducted a fee analysis of the costs associated with providing USWA licensing and examination services and determined that the new fee schedule allows for the necessary recovery of expenses incurred under the USWA. This increase is projected to result in stable user fees through the next several fiscal years. AMS is committed to continuing cost reduction efforts in order to maintain the lowest possible rates while recovering expenses through user fees.
