System for Award Management (SAM) Email Notifications from Third Party Companies

It has come to our attention by some of you, that there are third party companies offering to help you update information contained within the System for Award Management (www.SAM.gov) website for a fee.  Taking into consideration the sensitive business information within SAM, including your banking information, the Commodity Procurement Staff would ask that you proceed with extreme caution.  The System for Award Management website is the Official U.S. Government system that consolidated the capabilities of Central Contractor Registration, Online Representations & Certifications Application, and the Excluded Parties List System into one site.  There is NO fee to register or update this site.  Furthermore, www.SAM.gov requires your business information be updated once per year, so for peace of mind and accountability, we suggest that several people in your company have access to your SAM account in the event that a change or update is needed.
