Grass-fed beef, over the years, has become a widely accepted term that connotates beef that is grown in pastures or on the range – not in CAFOs. It is incredibly important for the USDA to respect and support – not attempt to change – the definition of “grass-fed” beef. Americans need to trust the USDA, and with the proper regulations for grass-fed beef that include a requirement that animals are raised in low density, range-like conditions, this trust will be strengthened. I would also like to add that corn silage should never be an acceptable food item for livestock raised under the label of “grass-fed” – getting away from corn-fed livestock was precisely the reason why grass-fed livestock became popular. Thank you for your consideration. Matt Skroch 1116 W. Alameda Tucson, AZ 85745
