To me, this is sheer chicanery, aimed at fooling the American public into believing that the Department is protecting them when it is doing nothing of the kind. It is significant that producers of grass-fed beef, the American Grassfed Association do not accept these weakened standards. I urge you to immediately drop these blatantly false proposals and develop true standards, such as proposed by the Assocation, which include pasture raising and no administring of antibiotics and hormones. Sisncerely yours, Rabbi Marion Shulevitz 15 W. 81 St. #11F New York, NY 10024 (212) 496-8977
