Laboratories participating in the Laboratory Verification Program must agree to analyze poultry products for the following residues by the method indicated. The residues are divided into six groups, Group I, Pesticides, Group II, Heavy Metals, Group III, Tetracyclines, Group IV, Salmonella, Group V, Listeria monocytogenes, and Group VI, Total Plate Count (SPC). Ideally, a laboratory may test for the six groups, but has the option to test for any group or combination of groups. Partial testing of groups will not be permitted.
