Location: USDA parking lot, corner of 12th Street & Independence Avenue, S.W.

2014 Dates: Every Friday starting June 6 to November 21 (closed on July 4)

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.



The USDA Summer Farmers Market features 14 farmers/vendors from Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia selling fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, prepared foods, baked goods, kettle popcorn, local honey products, hand-made soap and more.

Enjoy live entertainment every Friday, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. You can also, stroll through the USDA People’s Garden.

Farmers markets are the heart and soul of many communities. They generate revenue, support local neighborhoods and help create jobs. Each time you visit the farmers market you have the opportunity to talk to local growers about where your food comes from and to reconnect and socialize with your neighbors in a family-friendly atmosphere.
