As the Animal Husbandry Specialist for CROPP/Organic Valley Family of Farms, Dr. Wendy Fulwider assists over 1200 beef, dairy, egg, poultry, and swine producers to understand the importance and utility of meaningful and measurable standards regarding animal husbandry and the importance of these standards as part of an Organic System Plan.
Prior to accepting the position with CROPP, Dr. Fulwider worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Animal Science at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado. Dr. Fulwider also managed and owned a portion of the family dairy farm in Ripon, Wisconsin.
Dr. Fulwider holds a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from Colorado State University, a Masters degree in Dairy Management from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Dr. Fulwider is a member of the American Dairy Science Association, and was a Scholar, Dean’s List, and Honor Roll recipient of the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
