The Grading Division offers audit-based services for the Quality Systems Verification Programs (QSVP). The QSVP are voluntary, user-fee programs that are available to suppliers of poultry and shell egg products and services. The QSVP services were developed to provide suppliers the opportunity to assure customers of their ability to provide reliable quality products or services. The supplier’s documented quality management system is verified through independent third-party audits conducted by qualified Grading Division auditors. The general policies and procedures of the QSVP services are outlined in the “Poultry QSVP General Policies and Procedures” document.
The Grading Division utilizes the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 19011:2002 Guidelines for Quality and/or Environmental Management Systems Auditing as the platform to assess program documentation, ensure reliable auditing practices are maintained, and promote international recognition of audit results.
