USDA Accredited Certifying Agents (ACAs)
Looking for an agent to certify your farm or business to the USDA organic standards?

Eighty two certifying agents are currently USDA-accredited and authorized to certify operations to the USDA organic standards. Of these, 48 are based in the U.S. and 34 are based in foreign countries. Most certifying agents are directly accredited by the USDA National Organic Program (NOP). Twenty additional certifying agents are authorized through recognition agreements between the U.S. and foreign governments.

Each of these certifying agents is authorized to issue an organic certificate to operations that comply with the USDA organic regulations. When selecting a certifying agent, you may wish to consider the following criteria:
  • Fee structure.
  • Distance to your farm or business.

To help you find a certifying agent, we have provided the list of certified operations by name, by U.S. state, and by country.

Most NOP-accredited certifying agents may certify farms and businesses anywhere in the world. These lists provide information on locations where accredited certifying agents have recently provided certification services. Please contact individual certifying agents for more information.
