Complaints

 
All complaints should be brought to the attention of the Program Manager for timely resolution. If the complaint cannot be resolved by the Program Manager to the satisfaction of the complainant, the complaint may be brought to the attention of the Chief of the Technical Services. Appeals

 
A laboratory that has been involuntarily removed from the program may file a written appeal with the Deputy Administrator of the Science and Technology Programs supported by any argument and evidence as to why the laboratory should not be removed from the program. Within 30 days of receipt of the written appeal, the Deputy Administrator shall make a determination and take such action, as deemed appropriate, with respect to the removal. Each certified/accredited analyst and laboratory has the right to formerly complain and/or request appeal of findings by the AMS Administrator. However, the final decision on the complaint and/or appeal will be based on the analyst and/or laboratory’s ability to adhere to the before mentioned requirements laid out under the section titled “Procedures Followed in the Trichinae Certification/Accreditation program." This includes the requirements listed in the EU Directive, 77/96/EEC. Under no circumstances will a laboratory or plant be allowed to remain a participant in the program and not meet all program requirements.
