The MNAA was officially established at the Mobile, Alabama National Market News Association conference in October 2003.
The association purpose/objective statement:
To nurture and enhance the friendships and comradery established through the years of service in market news; provide the opportunity to establish new friendships with those who share a common interest (market news); and to uphold the ideas and purpose of the National Market News Association as it seeks to improve market reporting and strengthen the Federal/State dual working relationship.
