  • COTTON -- Supports the orderly and efficient marketing of U.S. cotton, domestically and internationally, by providing unbiased classification, standardization, market news and oversight of the research and promotion program.

  • DAIRY-- Facilitates the strategic marketing of milk and dairy products while ensuring fair trading practices and promoting a competitive and efficient marketplace

  • FRUIT & VEGETABLE –Facilitates the strategic marketing of fruit, vegetable, nuts and specialty items in domestic and international markets, while ensuring fair trading practices, and promoting a competitive and efficient marketplace that benefits producers, traders, and consumers.

  • LIVESTOCK & POULTRY Administers a wide range of programs related to the livestock, meat, poultry, egg, fish and grain industries as well as regulatory and support functions that extend to other commodities. The programs include retail country of origin and method of production labeling programs, quality grading services, testing services, domestic and export auditing and accreditation services, mandatory and voluntary market news reporting services, economic and statistical analysis services, research and promotion program oversight, grant programs, and food product specification development and acceptance services for Federal food and nutrition assistance programs including the National School Lunch Program.

  • SEED & PLANT VARIETIES—Enforces interstate commerce provisions of the Federal Seed Act and offers fee based seed testing services for agricultural and vegetable seed under the Agricultural Marketing Act, and provides a user fee funded program that implements the Plant Variety Protection Act.

  • TOBACCO-- Provides official tobacco grade standards, designates tobacco auction markets where tobacco growers receive mandatory inspection of each lot of tobacco to determine its grade and type, distribute daily price reports showing the current average price for each grade.
