LATD Laboratory Approval Service - Peanut Aflatoxin Program
In-shell Peanuts
LATD manages a laboratory approval program for the testing of peanuts for aflatoxin. All peanuts destined for human consumption must be tested in a USDA or USDA-approved laboratory before entering into United States commerce. Laboratories seeking to participate in the program must meet specific quality requirements that include the testing of proficiency check samples and annual on-site laboratory reviews. There is a yearly fee for participation in the program.
