The Onsite Audit Enhanced (OAE) Program applies to companies that have an approved USDA Quality System Assessment (QSA) Program that process animals, or products from animals, with marketing claims that are verified through an approved USDA Live Animal Audit Program. These verified marketing claims may include, but are not limited to: age verified; source verified; non-hormone treated cattle (NTHC), grass (forage) fed; livestock feeding claims; and Never Ever 3.
To operate an approved Onsite Audit Enhanced Program, companies must incorporate the following requirements into their approved QSA Program: 1) Conduct internal audits at planned intervals; 2) Maintain a listing of approved suppliers; 3) Develop a procedure for control of promotional materials and/or the use of the PV shield; .and 4) Meet the specified product requirements included in Section 8 of the GVD 1002A Procedure Onsite Audit Enhanced Program.
Companies who wish to be approved for the Onsite Audit Enhanced Program must incorporate the GVD 1002A Procedure requirements into their approved quality manual and undergo a desk audit and onsite audit. Please submit your updated quality manual to ARCBranch@ams.usda.gov
The Verified Operations Registry provides a list of U.S. operations that produce eligible products which are derived from animals with verified marketing claims that are traceable to live animal production records through a USDA Approved Live Animal Audit Program. The Verified Operations Registry is a voluntary registry which is meant to facilitate the marketing and distribution of certified agricultural products.
The following companies have been found to be in conformance with the requirements of the USDA Onsite Audit Enhanced Program. Products that meet the requirements of the specified marketing claims may be marketed accordingly.
