The mission of the Food Safety and Commodity Specifications (FSCS) Division is to create and champion the technical requirements for food safety, quality and nutrition for AMS commodity purchases of red meat, poultry, egg products, and aquatic foods. The FSCS Division collaborates with contractors, trade associations, researchers, and other stakeholders to continuously refine and strengthen the food safety and product quality requirements for Federal food purchase programs
